Your salary may range from $15,000 to $50,000 or more. There is a great deal of flexibility in this career field because of the employment choices available to you. As mentioned before estheticians may work for day spas, salons or even medical facilities. Some even open their own businesses. The duration of your schooling will depend on the particular educational program you've chosen.

For example, someone training to be a licensed esthetician may also complete a cosmetology program that teaches them to do hair or nails.
