Esthetician San Diego
If you hope to someday work as an esthetician, San Diego is a good place to receive your training and start your career. One reason for this is because of the great educational facilities in this city. Not only that but there is a demand for qualified skin care professionals most everywhere including this region. There are a variety of schools that offer state accredited training programs for prospective estheticians. An esthetician must complete 600 hours of training in order to qualify for the license exam in California. Once the training is complete and the exam has been passed, you may work in this field.
One institution to consider is the Marinello School of Beauty. This school is actually a chain with locations in Southern California and Nevada. At Marinello you will be taught hands on training in addition to classroom curriculum. The school provides a salon experience so you will be prepared for real world work. In addition to a comprehensive esthetics program this school also offers various other programs including cosmetology, manicuring and even teacher training. The Marinello School of Beauty is definitely worth your consideration.
Another school to think about is Bay Vista in San Diego. This academy offers various school cosmetology programs including makeup artistry, business fundamentals, advanced cosmetology and manicuring. They also have a comprehensive 600 hour esthetics training program that comes with everything you need to obtain your license in this area, that is if you do well with your studies and pass your state exam. The state exam is the last step before you are able to practice your trade. You can learn more about the exam by visiting the website of the California Board of Cosmetology.
Once you've obtained your esthetician San Diego license you are ready to look for a job. You can work for a day spa, salon or even dermatologist's office. Even plastic surgeons sometimes hire estheticians. You might even want to start your own business if working for yourself is a goal. Although starting a business is hard, it is one way to reach towards success in the business of professional esthetics and skin care. Even if you end up working for a company you can still earn a good living as a professional esthetician.
